- Thanks for agreeing to beta test this program.
-
- Before you run SuperTV for the first time, please check that the icon tooltypes
- are set correctly. There are two tooltypes:
-
- "FORMAT" tooltype options are:
-
- "NTSC M" or "NM"
- "NTSC MJ" or "NMJ"
- "PAL BDGHI" or "PB"
- "PAL M" or "PM"
- "PAL N" or "PN"
- "SECAM" or "SC"
- "PAL NC" or "PNC"
-
-
- "REGION" tooltype options are:
-
- "AUSTRALIA" or "AU"
- "IRELAND" or "IR"
- "ITALY" or "IT"
- "JAPAN" or "JP"
- "NEW ZEALAND" or "NZ"
- "WEST EUROPE" or "EU"
- "AMERICA" or "AM"
- "OTHER" or "OT"
-
- NOTE: these are DEFAULT settings. The actual channels can be any format, and all
- country presets are available from the GUI.
-
- Do not run the Elbox TV program while SuperTV is running, or vice-versa.
-
- When you run SuperTV for the first time, it will take you straight to the prefs
- window (because no channels are set up). It should all be fairly obvious what
- everything does, but heres a little "quickstart" guide.
-
- If you have already got channel scripts set up for the Elbox TV system, you
- can ignore steps 3 & 4, and just copy the relevant PLL from the channel file
- into the PLL box.
-
- 1) Click "Add" below the channel list
- 2) Click "Edit" to bring up the channel editor. A TV window also appears. If the
- TV window says "Untuned" in the titlebar, the picture being displayed in the
- window is just whatever frequency the tuner was already set to.
- 3) Click the "?" button next to the PLL box, and it will bring up all the
- channels for your region. Simply click each one until you find a channel
- that works. The easiest way to search is to click the top one, then repeatedly
- tap the down arrow.
- 4) Close the preset window
- 5) Finetune the channel with "+" and "-"
- 6) Give the channel a name
- 7) Click "OK"
- 8) Repeat for all channels
- 9) Click "Save" in the prefs window
-
-
- Extra features of the TV window:
-
- * The numbered buttons are channel switch buttons
- * Press 1 - 9, or A - Z on the keyboard to switch channels
- * Press ESC to close the TV window (and quit if prefs arent open)
- * Press HELP or click the "?" button to bring up prefs
- * Press the "F" button in the border to go fullscreen
- * Press the "P" button in the border to bring up a list of pubscreens.
- Double-click one of these pubscreens to make SuperTV "jump" there
- * If you have popupmenu.library installed, you can select options with
- the right mousebutton.
- * F1 toggles MUTE on/off (doesn't seem to work with ALL tv cards)
- * F2 toggles mousepointer on/off
-
- Since 0.7, it is possible to control SuperTV via ARexx. Please see the
- included arexx.doc for more info!
