  3. Before you run SuperTV for the first time, please check that the icon tooltypes
  4. are set correctly. There are two tooltypes:
  5.  
  6. "FORMAT" tooltype options are:
  7.  
  8. "NTSC M" or "NM"
  9. "NTSC MJ" or "NMJ"
  10. "PAL BDGHI" or "PB"
  11. "PAL M" or "PM"
  12. "PAL N" or "PN"
  13. "SECAM" or "SC"
  14. "PAL NC" or "PNC"
  15.  
  16.  
  17. "REGION" tooltype options are:
  18.  
  19. "AUSTRALIA" or "AU"
  20. "IRELAND" or "IR"
  21. "ITALY" or "IT"
  22. "JAPAN" or "JP"
  23. "NEW ZEALAND" or "NZ"
  24. "WEST EUROPE" or "EU"
  25. "AMERICA" or "AM"
  26. "OTHER" or "OT"
  27.  
  28. NOTE: these are DEFAULT settings. The actual channels can be any format, and all
  29. country presets are available from the GUI.

  31. Do not run the Elbox TV program while SuperTV is running, or vice-versa.
  32.  
  33. When you run SuperTV for the first time, it will take you straight to the prefs
  34. window (because no channels are set up). It should all be fairly obvious what
  35. everything does, but heres a little "quickstart" guide.
  36.  
  37. If you have already got channel scripts set up for the Elbox TV system, you
  38. can ignore steps 3 & 4, and just copy the relevant PLL from the channel file
  39. into the PLL box.
  40.  
  41. 1) Click "Add" below the channel list
  42. 2) Click "Edit" to bring up the channel editor. A TV window also appears. If the
  43.    TV window says "Untuned" in the titlebar, the picture being displayed in the
  44.    window is just whatever frequency the tuner was already set to.
  45. 3) Click the "?" button next to the PLL box, and it will bring up all the
  46.    channels for your region. Simply click each one until you find a channel
  47.    that works. The easiest way to search is to click the top one, then repeatedly
  48.    tap the down arrow.
  49. 4) Close the preset window
  50. 5) Finetune the channel with "+" and "-"
  51. 6) Give the channel a name
  52. 7) Click "OK"
  53. 8) Repeat for all channels
  54. 9) Click "Save" in the prefs window

  57. Extra features of the TV window:
  58.  
  59. * The numbered buttons are channel switch buttons
  60. * Press 1 - 9, or A - Z on the keyboard to switch channels
  61. * Press ESC to close the TV window (and quit if prefs arent open)
  62. * Press HELP or click the "?" button to bring up prefs
  63. * Press the "F" button in the border to go fullscreen
  64. * Press the "P" button in the border to bring up a list of pubscreens.
  65.   Double-click one of these pubscreens to make SuperTV "jump" there
  66. * If you have popupmenu.library installed, you can select options with
  67.   the right mousebutton.
  68. * F1 toggles MUTE on/off  (doesn't seem to work with ALL tv cards)
  69. * F2 toggles mousepointer on/off
  70.  
  71. Since 0.7, it is possible to control SuperTV via ARexx. Please see the
  72. included arexx.doc for more info!
